Mechanical Site Foreman

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Mechanical Site Foreman to join our team in London, Ontario.
OVERVIEW:
The Site Foreman is responsible for all aspects of managing the safety, quality and productivity of the project site, including preparing the work schedule, ensuring compliance with all safety requirements and supervising and coordinating employees.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Review project scope with Project Manager to determine the requirements of the job and schedule;
- Coordinate with Project Manager for the preparation of the required tools and equipment;
- Perform/review risk management with Project Manager to minimize project risks;
- Coordinate employee activities based on the required skills to complete each portion of the job;
- Ensure employees arrive on time each day and work in a safe and effective manner;
- Ensure schedule and quality is maintained for the duration of the job;
- Mediate and resolve issues that may arise between employees on the job site;
- Implement and enforce safe work practices as per Dielco Health & Safety Policies;
- Ensure site and employee adherence to all Ontario Health & Safety Act requirements, checks, forms and other documentation;
- Complete a general review each day of the work environment/equipment to verify that no hazardous conditions exist;
- Coordinate with any sub trades as per the schedule and ensure they are operating in a safe manner, including Dielco’s Health & Safety Procedures and site specific requirements;
- Keep records of time for each of the Dielco employees for the project;
- Regularly report to the Project Manager on the status of the project as well as any new developments or issues arising on the project;
- Monitor project progress to ensure work is being completed according to plans, specifications and timeline.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid Red Seal Certificate of Qualification for either Plumbing or Steam fitting
- Must be able to Install, assemble, maintain, fabricate, and repair plumbing, heating and process piping systems
- Can reads blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems
- Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, and equipment used in piping
- Work in cooperation with other trades, and labourers to ensure that all specifications, legislation, and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project
- Must be able to understand blueprints and install pipe correctly.
- Repair and test any damaged or malfunctioning pipes systems and perform pressure tests from time to time
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements
- Ability to understand and perform scheduled maintenance service on piping systems and fixtures if need be.
- Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Performs other related duties as required
- Ability to follow directions as laid out by the project managers
- Ability to delegate work to a crew and supervise jobsites to weekly goals
- Valid Ontario driver’s license.
- Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must be team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have strong focus and a keen attention to detail
